ART DECO "MODERN BAKERY"

A bakery built in the popular 1930's design known as "Art Deco" or the "Moderne" schools of design. The idea is from a black and white photo found on the web, expanded and enhance, backdated for the 1949 era of the route it was designed for, but will fit nicely on any route from 1929 to current times. No alternate textures yet. Uses a 1024 texture which can be reduced for better performance. (Car shown in screen shot not included).

Hi Tim,

This is an excellent portrayal of an old style bakery. I have been looking at the picture for a while and keep saying that it reminds me of something. It is reminiscent of the White Tower hamburger restaurants of the 1950's. There is still one standing on Main Street in Worcester, MA, but it has been converted into a nail parlor.

Thanks, Fred. The model was inspired from a contemporary photo of an old building being used for an auto detailing establishment. It was in pretty rough shape, but I saw a diamond there.

That's a great photo of the 1930's White Tower. At first I was confusing it with the White Castles, but this is different.

JAT- thanks again for another great HO model!
