Since I moved from running OR at 3k30 to 4k60, I have noticed an extreme difference in the load on the GPU.
Extra load is to be expected as the gpu load has gone up by a factor of 24/9 or 2.7.

What I am seeing is 12% load for ORNYMG and a 48% load with ORx.
I have supplied the task manager view showing the GPU load for each.
The log file for each.
And most importantly the openrails.ini files that I use for each.

I have done a txt compare of the ini files and made some small changes, these have not changed the GPU load.

Any comments welcome.

First thing I noticed is the massive difference in anti-aliasing settings, this easily explains the difference in GPU load.

You have "ORx" set to a whooping 32x MSAA, which I'm shocked runs at all. Try reducing it to something more like 8x (this can be set with "AntiAliasing=int:4").

As a corollary, anti-aliasing is completely disabled in your OR NYMG ini, thus about the largest possible difference in performance can be expected.

Hi Richard,

You got it in one.

Tested ORx with AA disabled, and got 10% gpu.
