Hello.
Is it possible to move the 6 key view? I am developing a project in which I find that the camera in view 6 is too close to the model. Would it be possible to move the position of the view, in my case further forward?
Thank you brothers... :cheers3:

Hello.
Now, just thinking aloud: isn't it tied to bounding box's corner, on some fixed height?
If true, what if trying to alter that corner's coordinates?

Thank you Weter. Of course, the question is where that calculation comes from. I guess it's fixed in the simulator code, because it's a mystery to me. What is clear is that, as it stands, it doesn't work for all cases.

I understand that there is no easy solution for this. I would ask the developers, if possible, to move view 6 1 metre forward to avoid conflicts with certain models. Thank you!

Hello.
To move 1 meter forward, or rightward?
I never seen "problem" models yet.
So, to give camera 1-meter shifted position from many existent models in favor of one future?

Hi,
In MSTS, camera view 6 was called the 'Coupling View' and was looking vertically down at the coupling.
In Open Rails, it now called the 'brakeman's view' - this from the manual :
When correctly rotated, a side view of the coupling is shown so the position of view 6 in correct and, in my opinion, shouldn't be changed!
Cheers,
Ged

Quote
Key <6> is the brakeman’s view – the camera is assumed to be at either end of the train, selected
by <Alt+Home> and <Alt+End>. Rotation is controlled by the arrow keys or mouse with right button
depressed. There is no brakeman’s view for a single locomotive.

I'd say, it's position of switchman, standing on corner footplate and grabbing handle.
Derived from bounding box's corner.
