As of now this feature is available only in ORNYMG. I'm now porting it also to the official OR.
Like in ORNYMG, player train switching in timetable mode is very similar to the one in activity mode. Most important difference is that it is not possible to put the old player train in suspend state when switching, because this state is not foreseen in timetable mode. Other difference is that after the switching the new player train is in autopilot mode. I think this is better, because from the moment of the switching up to the moment that all the scenery around the train some seconds can pass, and it is always difficult to drive the train in such seconds. Of course the player can exit autopilot mode at any moment.

Thanks, Carlo, for pushing this enhancement back to the Unstable Version.

I think it will make timetable operation even more engrossing and I'm surprised there have not been comments on this thread already.

Well, I'd say, this new feature and Autopilot in TT mode will also be the great help to TT authors, making testing and debugging of TT much more time-effective.

To get this into the testing version the blueprint needs to be approved and the pull request needs to be positively reviewed.

Thanks Joe, that's useful for the reviewers to trust the feature.

Yup, this was the last item on my list to shift completely away from Activities to Timetable
