Good morning, Mr. Newell. I've checked steam parameter behaviour "ORTSBoilerEvaporationRate" between 1.5 stable version and last ones published, and I've found that it seems different. Until stable version, this parameter modified locomotive power, I suppose because it has importat influence in the amount of steam that locomotive could produce. You explain content of this parameter in "Coals to Newcastle" completely.
But in last versions, this influence has dissapeared, thougth we enter the most higher value: 30. Locomotive power has not any change.I don't know if it must be in this way, may be. We also have "MaxIndicatedHorsePower" parameter to fix locomotive power; perhaps it would be the solution, but i don't think so.Thank you.

According to the manual, this parameter does not increase engine power, but does increase the maximum boiler steam output. That is the amount, not the pressure. Factor increase is limited to figures between 10 and 15.

"MaxIndicatedHorsePower" adjusts the maximum power for the locomotive.
I would suggest looking at the configuration for some of the larger US locomotives, such as the T1 and the Niagara, on the CTN Stock page as an example of higher powered and steam generation rates. Try running these two locomotives in v1.5.1 and the latest Unstable version to see if these is a significant difference.
