Again thanks to those who answered my query on Win 11 VS MSTS/ORTS. Now for the new question: Will the ORTS version of Rail Driver work with Windows 11? I do so love using levers vs. keyboards.

Hi, Openrails supports the raildriver on Windows 11, but not version 1.5.1- you'll need to switch to the beta branch.
The Raildriver must be plugged in before you start openrails, and then once openrails launches you use the ` key to enable or disable the raildriver.

It's a godsend coming from other sims, Since I don't have to learn and remember a bunch of different keyboard layouts.

Could you please tell me what you mean by "you'll need to switch to the beta branch" !!!!

Herb, I use Carlo's New Year version of OR and RailDriver runs perfectly. I totally agree regarding levers vs keyboard. I was lucky enough to source a second hand unit on Ebay and could never go back now.

It's been part of the Open Rails Testing Version for a while now - thanks to Cesar.

I remain confused. The current Testing version is T1.5.1-957-g4fd63a327. Is that the version for use with Rail Driver?

The version with Raildriver support is OR New Year Monogame.

There seems to be a bit of confusion about the topic. All OR versions support RailDriver since many years ago (this includes NewYear and official releases). Additionally, ORNYMG and the official Testing version include support for RailDriver calibration and custom button mappings (thanks to perpetualKid). I only did the porting of that to the official version.

By "official Testing version" do you mean the Testing Version as downloaded fro the Open Rails website?

Cesar, thanks for the clarification! My experience was teaching me that there was a lot more compatibility than was being reported and you have verified that experience. :bigboss:
