Is there a map feature accessible from inside openrails? Something separate from Tools->TrackViewer?
I thought I had found one once, but I can't get one to come up now and there's no documented keyboard shortcut for it.
The one I remember had a minimalist UI - but there was a button to center the map on the players train.
Does this ring a bell?
I use the unstable version of openrails if that helps.

Enable your webserver ( in monogame it is a checkbox on one of the options tabs ) and one of the html pages is a map of the route.

Hello.
Looky and Ex-Rail have improved it recently.
This is not observing map only, this is interactive map, allowing You to control switches&signals and also control&communicate in multiplayer mode.
Alt+tab windows option in Settings menu should be activated.
Good luck.

Thanks Weter, what settings menu? I look in openrails options, on all the tabs and I do not see anything called Alt+Tab.

Hello, Jack.
That appears to be obsolete (I mean official version 1.5.1-944) and now "always on" setting without visible options.

Ah, Chris have just confirmed my guess.
