I simply placed this as a test ( as its been a while since I messed about with files in OR and MSTS) into the folder I have for routes called open rails DLC (I think this is one TRainsim creates when you download and install a route)

So I have OpenrailsDLC/Trainsimulations/Trains/trainset and here I placed the downloaded files (SF-SD75m_superF -Common Sound - SHR Cabs).. obviously the common sounds installed into the already existent common sound folder - adding MLW_710G3C and MLW_Horns.


As a test I then made a consist for a light engine only and placed it into the scenic route to see if all was successful.. And it is - apart from no sound?

This is a clean OR install with no MSTS attached/installed anymore if that helps.

I would use MSTS Check, a utility program by "slipperman" --- very useful to find the problem with missing sound and cabview files. Easy to use. In the download library.
