Hi David,
Is this the Registry entry you're looking for? CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\OpenRails\ORTS

Cheers,
Ged

Hello.
Appendix to Manual contains a list of all used folders and their purpose.

David, OpenRails settings are kept in the registry -- as mentioned in other posts

--- or kept by the user in an OpenRails.ini file -- which is kept in the same folder as the executable file of the version you are using. It can be copied from folder to folder. Upon starting OR will look for either the registry entries or the "ini" for the settings.

To use an ini file, simply place a blank file named OpenRails.ini in the folder of the current version of OR you are running. Next time you start OR there will be no content listed. You must point OR to all your content. This is done once, to populate the Ini file. All your settings will also be written to the OpenRails.ini file once you have run the simulation. You can keep backup copies of the file and also copy it from version to version of OR. Any time you change settings the new settings will be written to the ini file.

It seems like a lot of work the first time -- to restore all your settings & content locations -- if you look in the ini file....there is a set format for pointing OR to your content. That format can be copied from line to line in the OpenRails.ini file --- changing only the final location of the OR profile - if you have more than one OR profile with routes in it.

If you need some help with this, please PM.
