I'd posed a question in the following two threads almost two weeks ago, but have no reactions from developers on either one...

Are the developers no longer watching the forums?
I've since been able to generate a polygon shape structure in TSRE, but need some validation from a developer to see if this is even feasible within the Forest logic before proceeding too far.
Could someone possibly take a look for a sanity check on what I've come up with?

Hello, Eric.
Such kind of developments are always welcome and important.
(for me - at least) I appreciate Your efforts with that.
All fir now, as Andre tells.

Hi Folks,
This is HIGHLY DESIREABLE - in my book.
I realize we're all volunteers - but - could we setup a mailing group or some means of actually contacting or creating a dialog with the ORTS Managment Team?
As we all know - it's possible to wait years before someone is willing to pick up the yoke and work on new desired features.
There's a number of features that could make all our lives better - but - it requires - - - collaboration - - - between TSRE and ORTS developers.
We have someone knee deep in the TSRE code - please - let's not let this golden opportunity pass us by.
Just my two cents.
Regards,
Scott

I may be a little in error, but I believe Carlo is fixing bugs, Peter is working on duplex steam locos and curve squeal, Phillip is looking at improving assets, Looky has exams I think and Cesar has started his PhD. James is working on the glTD graphics and I'm preparing for v1.6.
A polygon forest sounds very useful, so I hope one of us will be able to take a look soon.

. . .

Thanks to Carlo for responding to this question and identifying the changes that Open Rails code would require to cope with a forest having a polygon boundary.
Looks like an interesting coding task. Do we have a volunteer?
