I'm playing the current stable build of OR (1.5.1) and I'm trying to access the HUD by pressing Alt+f5 like it says in the manual to look at my train line and angle cocks, but nothing happens. The driver info window on F5 works, though. It even shows alt+f5 for the HUD in my options screen. Is the alt+f5 HUD not implemented in the current build? Or am I missing something here?

Nope not missing anything, works as expected on my system. I usually run OR monogame, but tried Stable Version 1.5.1 and all works. F5, Alt+F5 and using the shift to access other huds.

Couple of thoughts ---- Anything in the log, best practice is to attach log file when you run into problems. Also perhaps your F5 key is not working as expected in OR. Is this a laptop? Some other program may be preventing OR from accessing the key.

Yes, this is a laptop. I lock the FN keys before playing so I wouldn't think there'd be an issue. Like I said the F5 works and shift+F5 works but nothing happens when I push Alt+F5. I'll see about getting a log when I get back in the game.

Works ok on 1.5.1 here on a desktop.

My log looks like yours.

Maybe I should try reinstalling it?

Have you changed any of the key assignments?

I have, and sometimes new features or key "expectations" conflict with my changes.

I had the same problem a while back. Turned out it was the Nvidia GeForce Experience app that was using Alt-F5. Turned that capture off in the Experience app settings and all was well again in OR. So check to see if another app is using Alt-F5.

That might be it! I'll try that later today when I have some more time.

Yes I've changed some of the key assignments, but only for some of the camera functions (to put them more in line with MSTS/Railworks), alerter, and throttle. None of the Function keys have been changed.

Went to the GeForce Experience app and turned off the overlay. The In-depth HUD now works properly. Thanks everyone for your contributions! :sign_thanks:
