IMO, good start.
Composing/editing Your posts, You may use Preview Post button, before save - to use Your time more efficient and not to increase topic's view count (if it's needed to You).
Check, how font's colors are seen on screen and add slight corrections, when needed.
example 1(8B0000) --> example 2(992222)
Also, You may try different text fonts and styles, when needed.

Colorist's profession teaches us to add white(gray) component to darker colors - for making them less "transparent" on dark backgrounds...
Example 1 (900000) > Example 2 (902020) > Example 3 (903030)
Example 1 (0000bb) > Example 2 (2222bb) > Example 3 (4444bb)

Ok, the color codes you just showed me are not the standard colors I have to choose from, so I'm going to look online for color codes and what they look like, since I've never worked as a colorist before.

Edit
I see u post some codes here. nice so i can make copy and paste.

I tell only about, "standard" dark colors are tend to be hardly seen on dark-gray background.
You can just tune numbers slightly in these standard codes: use preview and achieve more pleasure results.

two characters per component: red, green, blue
these are from zero=00 to 255=FF

more closer between components - more like gray (i.e. less contrast):
00aa00 44aa44 88aa88 a0aaa0 aaaaaa
Note: green is constant, red and blue are increasing, approaching to green's intensity

Practic aspect:
Before we get started, some information... (8b0000) standard, looking fair on white, but too transparent on dark-gray
In Your opening post is quite hard to see on cheap LCD displays
let's tune it up a little:
Before we get started, some information... (992222)
Before we get started, some information... (993333)
Before we get started, some information... (994444)

Before we get started, some information... (990044)
Before we get started, some information... (992244)
Before we get started, some information... (993344)
