[The problem is the signal indicator shows up in the window as a "dark" signal. There is no color indication of the upcoming signal. Another problem is that there is no indication of when a switch is set to a new route. I have reinstalled the latest version of Open rains and the problem still exists.

Hello.
Actually, this is not a "problem":
Since some ORTS version, track monitor has two modes, switched by Shift-F4.

More prototypic for old-time locomotives one is default: only signal's locations are being shown, while player should watch cab aspect display to evaluate next signal's aspect.
