When a locomotive starts to slide, it accelerates to very high speeds.
The sliding can be provoked by a high value for the brake force variable in the *.eng file (e.g. "MaxBrakeForce ( 500kN )").
According to the build link it is still ok up to version U2023.09.29-1437, but from version U2023.10.05-0707 the bug occurs until today.
The bug does not exist in ORNYMG - there the locomotive slows down continuously despite gliding and eventually always comes to a standstill.
PS: It reminds me of the MSTS bug, where a steam locomotive accelerates sliping forward if you suddenly set the throttle and direction reverser to 100% reverse.
Dealing with the physical formulas for friction/sliding/drive force in the code seems to be relatively tricky then as it is today, although the programmers certainly proceed carefully and don't work too casual on purpose - as was certainly the same with KuJu in MSTS.

Instead of braking -> strong acceleration
