That's exactly what I've meant.
And Thank You, Randy, for a good tip.
(though, I haven't encountered crashes yet, happily)

Thank you all for the explanation. I'm off to move files to a work folder.

Thanks for that version of shape file manager, i think if possible we should add it to the download library here as Steam4Me is no longer offering downloads of some of the essential files.
it worked fine for me to install on Windows 10. You may have to turn off the security system to get it to install. I had no issues.

I've considered, more than once, of making an application that does the same things as SFM (likely with same or similar code) but that won't be an .HTA.
Comment LONG overdue....
Joe, if you do write a replacement for SFM, some criticism of the original that would be nice to avoid.
- There is a limit to how many files appear in the list.
- There isn't a way to display a subset of the files.
- You cannot select multiple files to apply a function to.

I haven't made a direct replacement for SFM, but over the years I have added some of its features to my own internal shape file management application. It doesn't yet do everything I originally envisioned, however.

Nice. Any chance you can add a sort up/down to the other columns (perhaps skipping Exists)? The Route and View Tabs are good adds.
