Good evening!
As I already reported on my website Fahrt frei, I will be replacing all the textures of the V 100 of the Bundesbahn with newly made and significantly larger ones. This increases the level of detail and accuracy to the highest level.
The first steps are done. Even if it doesn't seem like it, there are a whole range of textures that need to be adjusted depending on the 3D model. So I first started with the textures used for the epoch III models. Then come the models from epochs IV and V.
Since I do this work on the side, it will last until June. This work will be the last on my packages with the the V 100 of the Bundesbahn.
After that, as also announced, I will start making my own models of the V 100 of the Bundesbahn based on original technical drawings.

Another good news. At least for me.
This year I already had the 1000th visitor to the site today. This is a significant increase compared to previous years. In 2021, the year my site was launched, I had a total of 1,448 visitors, in 2022 a total of 1,520 and in 2023 a total of 1,817 visitors. I already have more than half the visitors of the last three years.

In order to give you a foretaste of the future quality of the textures of the packages with the V 100 from the Bundesbahn and the DBAG, I will show you a comparison of a previous and future representation of a rubber seal. Previously, this rubber seal had a color gradient of three shades of gray. In the future it will have 29 shades of gray. In the picture you can see the difference between previous shading (top) and future shading (bottom). The image has been enlarged six times for better visibility. The image quality is reduced by the JPEG format, but this does not occur with the textures.
