As usual, pardon if I've overlooked any existing discussions of the same question.
Watching some ORTS shunting video (being free of controlling a game by myself), I've spotted, the sound of train, being about 1km out of sight, is nonetheless having adequate ~3 seconds delay, but even in some kind overtakes actions themselves. Meanwhile, MSTS have demonstrated us, let's say inaccurate, but still present, Doppler's effect for sound. These two facts are having only one common point, which is: ORTS acoustical physics need devs attention as well, but currently looking neglected.
