File Name: 1864 Pennsylvania RR Gun Transporter

File Category: Standard Gauge Flatcars (Open Rails only)

1864 Pennsylvania Rail Road Gun Transporter.
Open Rails Only.

Built in Train Sim Modeler Pro, Just for the heck of it..
Artwork done in Paint Shop Pro 7.2.
Many textures, especially those for weathering and effects are from Textures.com.

Based on a photograph of PRR Flat Cars 2200 with the specialized cradle to hold a large Rodman smooth-bore gun. I am assuming it was one of the two 20-inch Rodman's hollow cast in Pennsylvania.

Unzip the compressed folder to your desktop, then move to your TRAINSET folder.

I have included a consist file to show how it's arranged. The .con file goes in the TRAINS/CONSISTS folder, if you want it as a loose consist.

I use TSRE5 Consist Editor to build trains. When making up the consist, be aware that this archive contains only the one flat car and the middle "car" (the gun and cradle). Load the flat car first, then right-click on it to highlight it and then click "Flip" in the popup dialog. This puts the handbrake in the leading position (otherwise the handbrake is hidden under the load). Next load the "Penna.RR Flat Car 2200 LOAD", then the flat car again (not flipping it). This completes the Gun transporter consist.

I have included a consist file to show how it's arranged.
