Thought you ought to know...when the status bar reaches the end of the update, I get this error message...

I confirm this; I get the message at the beginning of the update process.

There is now a newer Unstable release, which downloads correctly.

Doesn't work for me (U2023.09.17-1022). I still get the same error message. Now what do I do?

Sometimes if the problem persists you may need to delete all files and do a clean install.

Right now I already tried uninstalling and reinstalling ORTS (TWICE!!!!!) and I still get an error message when I try to update.

So...now what? Did I uninstall the program incorrectly?

I am getting the same update error. If I download the zip from https://james-ross.c...jects/or/builds and unzip I get the result shown in the attached picture although the file seems to unpack normally.

Confirmed I'm seeing the same data error when attempting to unzip with 7-zip. Trying to use windows explorer to open the .zip produces an error as well about the .zip being 'invalid'.

Being the 'works on my machine' guy, I was able to compile the current unstable version, zip it, and then unzip it with no problems. So I don't think this is a problem with the code, something else in the process is causing the trouble.

I think I have it solved. Instead of clicking the update link in the upper-right corner of the ORTS home screen, I manually downloaded the unstable release off of GitHub and dragged-and dropped the contents of the ZIP file into my ORTS folder. Now it works perfectly.
