As the train nears Carbon Junction...
... it stops at a spot called Lodo to unload cinders.
After 15 minutes, the train gets underway and rolls through Carbon Junction.
A mile later, the train stops at MP 450 to finish unloading cinders. The industry next to the train is Weidman Sawmill & Lumber Yard. It was one of the last companies to ship products on the Rio Grande before the line to Chama was abandoned.
After 15 more minutes of unloading cinders, the train pulls into Durango at Durango 3:00 PM with 4 loads 7 empties.
