Very early screenshot of something else I'm working on, pretty much to let me see how it's going (it looks better when you click on the image).
This will become to RKO Grand Theater. It's supposed to look like this at night:
Ahhh, I need to rotate that arch 180d! Beats me how I'm going to texture that but I'm sure I'll learn something new along the way.
The target date for this route is 1947, the last year the Chicago Surface Lines (streetcars) were independent and running in much better paint jobs that in later years. I looked for 1947 films... not a lot of good ones... and I picked this one for the RKO:
I watched a preview... painful... almost as bad as any Jerry Lewis movie.

You will have to project the textures to the curved surfaces.
Not really that hard.
The flat surfaces you know all about.

IIRC the Walter Mitty story was originally written by Thurber, so that must have been funny, but the preview, oh my... painful.

What a powerful propaganda film you found Chris, heck, the narrator has convinced me to move there! Oh wait... today it is a hell-hole of crime, drugs, and poverty. :cry1:
Here is another 40's film from Chicago, this one on streetcars and the L commuter service. https://youtu.be/XxxJ8YIxaTk

Dave, Please don't say that, I use to like Jerry Lewis movies. They were a good distraction in my younger years!!
