the Open Rails homepage contains this news item:

Jan 2023 New commercial route HSB Simulator published. This contains 87 miles of the Harz narrow-gauge railway, the longest narrow-gauge route network in Europe.

However if I follow this link https://hsb-simulator.com/ I read that the route is no more available since 17 April 2023. Looks like the maker of the rolling stock has withdrawn permission. That's because of the fact that the maker of the route next to the freeware route also sells timetables and activities for the route.

Shouldn't this news item be removed?

I think yes.
I have followed a bit the story in the German tssf.eu forum, and it doesn't look to be a nice story.

BTW the Harz narrow gauge railway is not the longest in Europe. The Rhaetian Railway network (which includes the Bernina route) https://en.wikipedia...haetian_Railway is 385 km long, to which the 144 km of the connected Matterhorn-Gotthard Bahn can be added.

Very sad that the saga ended the way it did. It's a wonderful route. :(

Hmmm....that's a shame. I wasn't aware of this route until looking at this thread. The old HSB route from 2003 is rather dated in the scenery and rolling stock, but still one I enjoy from time to time.

I remember running that version years ago. I seem to remember it threw you out of the activity if you didn't sound the whistle at crossings? :)

Harzquerbahn route?
Still in my list.
Good documentation and interesting layout: for not to drive fast.
Not sure about activities there, but payware Sandpatch by Maple Leaf did so.
