In U2023.07.04-1252 (and I just realized also in the Unstable release from 06.30 I believe it was) my RailDriver and the sim seem to be having issues. The throttle is inverted but can't close, the reverser in the sim is jammed forward, and the brake control values in the sim are moving wildly. I checked this against the last Testing version I downloaded, T1.5.1-442-gbaefb6b08 and the Raildriver works perfectly there as it does in 1.4. I've attached a log in case it's needed.

My idea would be to ask you if you could try previous unstable versions. So that we could exactly find which version breaks the code. But that might cost you a lot of time. I would do that myself if I had a Raildriver.

I only recently started developing for Open Rails. So my suggestion might be wrong. Might be more experienced developers have better ideas.

regards, Siebren.

Just in case it helps, Raildriver works fine in the ORMG version.

That's exactly what I would do too.

Very soon we will have access to all the Testing builds too. That will be easier than using the Unstable builds because we have the source for a Testing build but that's tricky to pin down for an Unstable build.

Probably a stupid question, but did you calibrate your RailDriver on Settings->RailDriver tab?

My RailDriver has been calibrated before using the MSTS calibration tool as to my knowledge (and investigation of the OR options) there is no calibration utility specifically for OpenRails. The RailDriver still functions correctly with older testing and stable versions.

There is indeed a calibration option in latest OR Unstable builds. It will only appear if your RailDriver is connected.

Well well well, so there is. I was not aware of that. The calibration seemed to have sorted the problem out. The RailDriver may have been unplugged when I last searched the options. Thanks much!

Glad to hear that it was solved with calibration!
