F9 Train Ops Window - No Confirmation Rate Topic: -----

Hi Guys,

Just lately I've noticed that upon opening the F9 window and clicking on a car to get the Car Ops Window to open I don't get any confirmation message if I click on open/close angle cock (for example). I'm sure a message used to appear saying whether the angle cock etc was now open or closed. The only message I get is if I click on Power or Battery for a freight car, then I get a "no power (or battery) command for this type of car". This occurs in both version 1.5.1 and also monogame version 141.1

This might be caused by your setting of the "Messages suppressed" system option in the OR menu.

In ORMG I can only get train ops confirmations if I set Messages suppressed to none, but that then also allows the normal train control confirmations which I do not require. If I use the other OR version with control confirmations turned off, I still get train ops confirmations. Why the difference between versions in this matter?.

Different behavior might have to with this fix: https://github.com/o...rails/pull/809. As ORMG is ahead of the regular OR?

Please let me know if there is a problem with this fix.

The actual ORNYMG release (142.1) and the actual official testing releases have the same behaviour about control confirmations. Such behaviour was modified in both versions not much time ago, when PR #809 (the one mentioned by Siebren) became part of the testing release. This is at least what I'm expecting.

Personally I have to admit I preferred the previous arrangement as mentioned by copperpen but hey, I guess I can live with the new way if I have to :)

OK. I have installed the latest unstable version and it behaves the same as ORMG with regard to suppressing messages. Can someone point me to where this change was discussed. In its current state, one might as well dispense with the full HUD and just have signal indications. The in cab control confirmations and warnings are only duplicating the info in the HUD.
