Does anyone know how to open, or what software can be used to open/create/modify .sms files?

The beauty about notepad++ is that it gives you the line number on the left

NOTE: Old Pharts like me still use CONTEXT.EXE editor for WAG, ENG, SMS, and other Content related text files.

Its probably the easiest editor to make a highlighter for (though quite limited as well)

While my current ENGWAG highlighter doesn't support SMS files (yet), I possibly could make one at some point.
