Hey everyone. This was passing through Muskogee, OK a couple of years ago on the way to Texas. It was parked here for a few days. I was hoping that it would be staying at Muskogee and be put on display. Anyway, enjoy.
John Clark
Attached File IMG_0638.JPG (4.49MB)

Cool. What a real treat to see that ambling' down the pike! Do you know what the story is behind this extremely cool machine?

Hello Tim. According to www.thedieselshop.us/SLRG.HTML, it is formerly CB&Q 9972. As you can see, it is painted in Burlington Northern colors. The photos are photos that I took and are not downloaded from the internet. Hope you enjoy them. John Clark

I'm pretty certain this had been sitting derelict in Elk Grove IL's industrial park, which Iowa Pacific used to switch before losing the contract.

If I recall, it has no traction motors or engine. Somewhere I have photos I took back there maybe five or six years ago.
