Hi,
I purchased the excellent Harz route. But I just get a black hole where the turntables should be at Wernigerode and Nordhausen.
Please can anyone explain the error message in the log file?
Kind regards
Alan

Great route isn't it? Shame that only the free download of the route itself is available now after some disagreements regarding freeware/payware. My turntables show up with no problem although I do get a couple of 'Scenery objects fail to load' messages for other stuff that appear in the log sometimes.. Can you list the shape files etc that are involved so I can maybe assist?

Hi,
Sorry the log file was missing. Here it is again.
Open Rails won't show the turntable, but both TSRE5 and Shape Viewer can open it. OpenRailsLog.txt (19.23K)
Number of downloads: 65
Kind regards
Alan

Hi Alan,
from your installation path "F:\Train Simulator (German routes)\" I assume that you have several different routes inside which share common files under "F:\Train Simulator (German routes)\Global\". Please check the file tsection.dat inside that Global folder. The file from my HSB installation has 781072 bytes and contains this section:
TrackShape ( 253
FileName ( n1t16mturntable.s )
NumPaths ( 1 )
SectionIdx ( 1 0 -0.2 0 0 39999 )
)
If your file has a different size and/or this section is missing, then it's likely that it either was overwritten by another route installation or the HSB installation wasn't able to overwite an already existing tsection.dat.
To avoid such file conflicts I'd suggest installing HSB into a folder completely separated from any other route. I hope these hints might help you solve this issue.
Greetings, Peter

Thank you for your help. Re-installing the HSB route in a separate directory with no default files copied from MSTS has solved the issue. HSB contains its own GLOBAL directory as well as the route, stock and activities.
Kind regards
Alan
