Hi,

The TRAIN_BRAKE in my 3D-Cab.

The mouse sensitivity area, which is more reminiscent of a circle, doesn't seem quite right for my 3D Train_Brake Lever.
The actual lever can only be grabbed to a very small extent with the mouse.

Is there any way I can change this, in the 3D model or the cvf file?

Greetings
Jonas

The sphere of influence for mouse control in a 3D cab view is located around the pivot/origin point for the animated lever/switch object.

To resolve your issue, create a second object called TRAIN_BRAKE:0:1 and place it at the end of the brake handle. Then link TRAIN_BRAKE:0:1 to TRAIN_BRAKE:0:0 so that it is a child object.

The screenshot below has arrows pointing to the pivot/origin points of both objects and the parent>child relationship.

Cheers,

Marek.

Hallo Marek,

I just did it exactly as you describe and the sphere of influence of the mouse is much better and includes the entire lever now.

Many thanks for the quick response and creating the perfect picture!

Greetings
Jonas

I've employed that trick for a while and it works, a very good open rails "hack".
