Feather River latest patch?

Hello everyone Been quite awhile since I've had train simulators up and running. Finally got a new computer system and after installing Open Rails, my first route to add to it was Feather River. Still looks great after all these years. I'm not sure if I.ve got the latest patch though. I found V1.06 in my backup folder but when I went to check out the 3Dtrains support over at Trainsim, I found out about it being down. Sad to hear about Marc's health issues. Hopefully he'll get well soon. Just wondering if anybody can confirm if I have the latest patch? Thanks!

I don't have a record of that patch, although I think I did install it....anyone have a record of what files it installed so I could check those against my install? Thanks

The cumulative patch installs numerous updated files for the route (files for activities, shapes, textures, terrtex, tiles, world files) as well as for some of the rolling stock.
The date of the installer for the patch is 30.09.2008. To find out whether you installed the patch you could check the date of the following files in the route's "shapes" folder: US1TmpRedSpd.sd, US1ResumeSpeed.sd, US1RestrictSpeed.sd, US1RstrctSpd.sd, US1RestrictArea.sd,US1EndRstrctSpd.sd. If the patch was installed they all should be dated 30.09.2008.

Well... I found the update to 1.06 in my files. Looks like it never was installed and now, low and behold, I can't find the key.
Those .sds are available in other routes, with that date, so I may just copy them over.
Can you tell what else the update does?
Live and learn. That's a good thing. Right?
Randy
Edit to add,
Sounds pretty draconian.

This must have been meant for Windows98
Does anybody actually close everything before installing?

Thanks Uli, looks like I did install it and forgot to annotate the route.

I suspect, this is standard phrase, offered by installer making software.
For instance, once You install programs, *.exe- or *.dll-files will not be overwritten, while program runs and uses *.dll's
Also, data files, opened in editors or viewers won't be overwritten, untill closed. Standard case.
Not closing program - get incomplete update of files.
Running MSTS tolerates alternation of *.eng-/*.wag-files, but would crash, if one try to modify *.con-file while MSTS running.
Didn't try that with routes upgrade "on the fly".
ORTS lets You more.
