Hi, I came across some YouTube videos in which the author uses sounds relating to railway switches that are very faithful to reality and different from the default ones and those obtained by modifying the ttype.dat and .trk files of the different routes. I specify that I contacted the author of the videos via email provided by him in order to have explanations about it some time ago, but I have not received any response. With the help of the example link relating to one of these videos at the end of this message, would you have an idea on how to integrate them on any route?

Note: this is the only source of my knowledge that can help understand the type of railway switches I'm looking for, in any case I suggest you stop at the first five minutes of the video which make everything very clear.
Waiting for replies, best regards.

First of all thanks for the link, however I have already considered the test files recommended in the manual but their quality does not fully satisfy me.

WELCOME to ET!
If thIs principle was used - any sounds, You like, may be used by referencing them that way.

Thanks, the problem is that I don't have the .sms or .waw files of these railway switches and I don't know where to find them.

It's not a problem.
*.wav-files can be made of sound, derived from any videos.
*.sms can be written manually (for track sound, it's simple)
I didn't remember, is *.sms needed for automatic switch/curve sounds.

Could you also privately send me routes with similar railway switch sounds at your disposal in order to try to modify mine in this sense?

Sure.
As I'm not currently by gaming laptop, at first, I can point the link to very good hungarian route 120a:
Diesirae.atw.hu
I've experimented with it only, meaning the subject, being discussed here.
I've used sounds, being included there as sound region *.wavs, and have added reference to them - for playing them automatically, when player train passes switches.
So, later I could send You modified file(s) for You to see, how I've managed to do that.
I followed Manual's recommendations strictly, so You can repeat that easily.
For now, I hope, you'll enjoy with that route at least a little.

Thanks for the Hungarian route, I await the modified files. See you soon.

I found the link for route 120A "Dies Irae" available on this forum, but once the link is opened there is no callout to a download button. Could you send me a working page?
