I've been reading up on the thread discussing the OR implementation or EOTD devices. I'd like to adapt Erick's very nice EOTD to the new format.

What I'm confused about is that I don't have a suitable ORTS .EOT file to work with. Could I please get some help making a ORTS .eot file, and/or an example to work from?

Edit: I followed the ORTS Doc, and made a .EOT file, but it doesn't show up in the list

Edt: Turns out I keep putting the ORTS_EOT Device in the TRAINSET folder instead of in the TRAINS folder. Case closed.

I did try searching for Erick's EOT device, but nothing turned up in the library, or in the OR EOT development thread...with the exception of Erick posting that he had one the community could use. Where can I find it? ---- is it part of the NAVS payware?

It was made by Erick Cantu, but before NAVS was founded. The EOTD in question is in us2new01.zip on Train-Sim.com, the first set of default replacement cars Erick made.

Yeah, sorry, it's an old model and I never got around to adapting it. It came with the cement car, I think.

Oh Erick, that's nice of you, but no apologies necessary --- you contribute so much for the hobby, excellent payware and generous public domain stuff...thanks. I was collecting all the EOT devices I could find, sort of mapping out what's available for adapting to the new OR_EOT device -- something I've been looking forward to. Gerry

Yea the Cantu Iron EOTD was a nice addition in the default replacement equipment and still is a good one to use and adapt the EOT feature.

I yet need to get interest back into mine an that was in the works a year ago or more. I will get interested after I finish a new system for hoses and couplers.
