Hello all,

I have read a lot of information here in the forum about some routes with Scale Rail.

I have two routes, Saluda and NC Piedmont Corridor. Both use Scale Rail. We all know the issues with installing Saluda while the Piedmont Corridor was a breeze.

Both of these routes run perfectly in MSTS, no track issues at all. However, when running these two routes in Open Rails I get the texture issues that have been the subject of several topics here in the forums.

Not all but some of the curve sections are pulling up the acleantrack one and two textures instead of the scale rail textures

I have double and triple checked all of the proper folders in the two routes to make sure everything is in place and it is. As I mentioned before, these routes have no issues while running in MSTS. Any ideas as to how to correct this issue with Open Rails?

Thanks
Kenny

Judging by the width of the rail head on the far track piece it's is an XTrack piece so it's using the default textures.
It's quite possible that default track was used where Scalerail didn't have a needed trackpiece.
I don't think it's unusual but the textures can be hard to match.

Hi Kenny,

The Freeware Scale Rail doesn’t come with a track profile for “super elevation”. Turn off super elevation in ORTS settings and you’ll get the right textures.

Scott

Is it dynamic track? I thought there was a way OR substituted a procedural OR track profile & texture for those. If actual shapes, which ones?

There's a profile for Scalerail super elevation, but I've turned off the feature because of how it messes with my berms...

Thanks guys. Simply turning off super elevation corrected the issue.
