At one time Horton was the main shop complex on the Chicago Kansas and Nebraska Railroad.
The CK&N was the Rock Island's first attempt at a line to the Pacific via Colorado.

I had not seen them.
Makes the task seem that much more daunting.
By the era I'm interested in almost all of that was gone. Just weeds.
