I thought I knew what these meant...but now not sure....
on the column that lists all the rolling stock when your building a consist. The total line at the top shows two numbers....example "3669 / 3963" The first I thought indicated number of "things" in the list...what does the second number represent???
thanks

I believe second number is the total number of TYPEs of equipment ( the pull down list under TYPE ) found in the trainset...although I have yet to add up the different types and get the same number as the total...gotten within 6...so something else is being counted that is not represent in the type pull down list.
Otherwise than that...something of a mystery to me also.

I thought the same thing...however the example I used....
is when I had the "ALL" selected....I was expecting the number to be equal but they're not.....I've tried looking at GUKU's code for TSRE, but I still haven't found it yet. Thought someone might know....
the other thought I had was the first number represented number of items in the List...while the second number represented the number of folders within the Trainset directory...but I don't think that's right either...

First number is items in the visible list.
second number is the total number of wag/eng files available.
Not sure why "All" and "All" doesn't match the total of wag/eng files... when I add up the diesel/electric/steam/carriage/freight/tender lists it equals the "All" total.
If there are some wag or eng files that don't have a proper type defined... that might also explain the difference. On mine, there's a difference of 95... (3045/3150)

OK... I figured out the difference in my list.
Some of my Trainset ENG/WAG files have nested subdirectories (e.g. an ..\OpenRails or ..\MSTSBIN) with a copy of the WAG or ENG files from the parent directory.
The number of files in those subdirectories is the difference between the left and right number.
It seems that either TSRE's consist editor is unable to display those, or is intentionally de-duping the list. Don't know which of the two it is, but at least I know I'm not missing something or have types that are wrong...

Sorry, if it looks unsuitable here, but topic's title fits.
I've just noticed, that TSRE consist editor doesn't accept any mass units, exept tons.
Whether You specify any units of vehicle's mass, or no, it will read them as tons.
For instance, no matter, would the mass be defined as 880 lb or as 400 kg, it will show 880 or 400 t instead.
Only 0,4 (even without "t") will be displayed correctly.
