Dear railway friends!

Happy Pentecost to all of you!

As is well known, with the OR there is the possibility of providing .eng and .wag files with additional entries that only work in the OR. At the same time, you can omit entries that are intended for the MSTS and are no longer required for the OR.

Regarding this I have the following question.

Which entries in the .eng and .wag files can be left out or replaced with OR entries?

I thank you in advance for your answers.

See You next time at Fahrt frei.

Frank Stendel

Many of them are in the manual, which is searchable, also file examples exist in the "Documentation" folder found in the OR installation.

You could also search the forum using the term "ORTS Parameters".

There are two good places to start reading --- first is a developers website (steamer_ctn) >>> OR Physics >>> There are tables of parameters, example wag and engine files, plenty to dig into once you start navigating the site.
...and the second is here at Elvas...this part of the forum >>> Physics for Open Rails

Hello Gerry!

Thank you for your comments regarding the Coalstonewcastle website. This is very helpful for me.

If you have any questions about specific ORTS parameters, please do not hesitate to ask...someone will have experience with using it.
