I saw the roadmap and launchpad, and then I curious about can we transplant OR in monogame to Unity3D?
On one hand, the plannings for new 3D models, realistic water, better environment textures&shaders (like trees, grass, buildings and so on), higher HD train textures can more easily to solve in Unity3D ecosystem. On other hand, the solution can support other file formats that players can use higher HD textures like post-2015 games.
So I wondering what main reasons that for now OR still use .net+monogame. Maybe the running logic of OR (or even MSTS) is still limited by the XDA Framework?
