ORTS Columbia & Puget Sound RR 36-FT BOX CARS, Circa 1917.
EQUIPPED WITH KNUCKLE (MCB) COUPLERS
**MEDIUM-HIGH DETAIL**
MODEL MESH BY TIM MUIR
TEXTURES BY TIM MUIR, WAYNE CAMPBELL (WHEEL FACES) AND TEXTURES.COM (weathering source materials).

These are new repaints of the old Northern Pacific 36 foot box car set, released in 11-2012, with some minor alterations to the shape. Lost a fair amount of polygons.

A photo of C&PS boxcars loading up at a Tacoma, Washington, U.S.A., pipe factory, the inspiration. The photo was on ebay for sale. The Columbia & Puget Sound RR later became the Pacific Coast Railroad, later becoming part of the Burlington Northern.(not to be confused with the Pacific Coast RailWAY in California). The original intention of the line was to connect the two name sakes in an west-east direction toward the Columbia River, but that's another story, involving Henry Villard, that a quick search will uncover.

The Readplease text has more history and tech stuff about the build; credits, legal stuff.

Oh, and wag files are the same as the original, with 2012-MSTS values.

I spotted 152 on my Columbia Valley Pacific route. This photo was taken in 1957 at the Campbell Forest products roundhouse at Ryan. It looked like they were using it for storage or something. The boxcar may have developed a sway back after 40 years, but its not looking in too bad condition.

Thanks for the excellent model!

Wayne

Hey, you broke my car! I like it. very much!

You know, I need to be bending some cars too. It looks great.

Love your scene, Wayne. Thanks for sharing it.

Outstanding models!
I'm looking for a route to run these on presently.
I may have to relocate Andre's excellent St.L&NA to the northwest, either that or do the same with the London & Port Stanley.

Thank you Phi, I appreciate that.

I have done that myself, years ago, and strung 7 meter high wire over it to make it into an Oregon Electric Ry route. Adding the trees and other details in the Route Editor. That route is no more, lost in a hard drive crash more than ten-fifteen years ago (When Elvas Tower was then known as MSTS Online). :)

Tim,

Yes, I remember seeing the pics of your modification of the StLNA.
Looked like a completely different route!
