1860's Baltimore & Ohio RR Coach Set
Original Model by Jon Davis, 2013.
Textures modified by Tim Muir, 2022.

These four cars are intended for any MSTS route that dates from the late 1850's to 1860's.

The textures are doubled in size from the originals and totally repainted, loosely based upon photos of cars in the B&O Museum. Road numbers are fictional...

There are two un-numbered .tga files for the sides and ends, inside and out.

Also, alternate aces for the wheels, so that there's a choice for weathered black, or red wheels, common during this era.

Passenger views inside each car.

wonderful Tim, i love that type of car both the passenger and the baggage ones. I am wondering if they ever developed a horse car..they had them on the British railroads, forget the name, but people over there trasnorted their coach horses and hunters used for hunting, very often by rail but i dont think i have ever seen any notice of such for the US, In the civil War I believe they used cattle care for moving horses.

"universal" car "normal freight car" type:
40 persons/8 horses, or 20 persons with 2 horses.

Yes, there were horse cars here in the USA, too. And "scenery" cars specially built to haul stage scenery. The Pennsy had some of those, as well as the horse cars. The Pacific Electric in Los Angeles used to haul horse cars out to Santa Anita and had a special track and loading facilities there.

The baggage car project took a turn to the more involved. I'm having to make add-on letterboards, as Jon's originals have weird mapping issues that I could not work around any other way.

I have yet to paint the ends and side doors in...

with the freight anim letterboards:

I'm basing it off this:
