I cannot connect to the distribution site for the MG releases after installing the latest version of "Avast Free Virus".
It reports that the site is infected with "URL:Blacklist". Has anyone else had this problem?
Sid.

Yep, probably everyone ( I certainly have -- I think it is because the usage is too low, no feedback- whatever )...the site is good...just add it to the "whitelist".

Easy for you to say - my version of Avast Antivirus is the new "Free" version - guess you get what you pay for: no features - don't think it has a whitelist that I can get to work.

Sid,

Carlo can not do anything about this, you need to communicate with Avast, or stop using it.

I have given up on avast because of issues like this.

I get it blacklisted too since some days with the free AVG Antivirus, however AVG allows to put it in the accepted exceptions. I assume that also Avaast allows that. In AVG it is under Menu-Settings-Exceptions. I suspect that AVG and Avaast are the same thing under two different names. BTW the download page is hosted in what is I think the most important Italian provider.

Carlo:Thanks for the reply, I knew that this was not your problem, but wondered if I was alone.
Yes, there is a way to set an exception, but currently there is also something wrong with the (Edit: "my") AVG installation, so I'm working on it.
Sid.

Re the problem of using the site - I managed (with the help of Avast support - many thanks! ) to get my installation of Avast to ignore whatever the problem is with the site "http://www.interazioni-educative.it/Downloads/index.php" that holds the released MG versions. I had to do a reinstall and clean up some left over pieces of older Avast modules.
