WD&HO Wills, cigarette manufacturers in Bristol (UK). You could see the factory as you were approaching Bristol Temple Meads station from the Taunton direction. Long gone though.

I enjoy those early trade and post cards. Not so much for reference, but for the artistry involved.

Frank, are you looking for reference materials on mid 19th century locomotives and stock? Do you know of John Ott and his series of painted locomotive elevations? He is considered to be an authority on histories and colors used. I have been given permission to use his loco drawings as backdrops in TSM on more than a few projects.

I've gained a lot of data and photos, too, over the past four years. If you need anything, just PM me.
