Hi, when I switch between 3D cabins of a multi unit, to switch from front to rear cabin (Ctrl+E), there is no problem.

However, when I switch back from the rear cockpit to the front cockpit, once again using Ctrl+E, I get this message, and the simulation closes. Does anyone have any idea what the error is? Thanks!

Yes, you're right engmod, I'm sorry. Here goes:

The file you sent doesn't have any error at all.

Are you sure that this file was generated during a session where the crash occurred?

Thanks Serana.

Well, I could have sworn it did, but I can run the procedure again and see what happens. Now I upload the file again, it is possible that the box is not checked.

PS: Indeed, the box was not checked (I tried OR New Year the other day and the only way it would work was to uncheck the box, because of a problem of access permission to the Desktop folder. It is curious that all the settings I made in NY were replicated in the Testing version...)

Is there anyone who manages to switch more than once between two 3D cockpits located in different vehicles?

Thanks...

Hello again.

I just noticed that in Open Rails version 1.3.1.4328 the switching between cabins works perfectly.

PD: However, with this OR 1.3.1.4328 from the rear cabin, with the inverter forward, the train moves backwards!

I'm going to go crazy...

And another issue that I do not fully understand.

Is it normal that, if I create a consist with a double train, i.e. instead of:

Mc+R+Rc

Something like this:

Mc+R+Rc+Mc+R+Rc

...when I switch from the front cab to the rear cab, the rear of half the train is shown instead of the rear of the whole train?

Thanks!

Yes, the same thing happens to me, I have to press Ctrl + E several times until I reach the rear cabin.

I suppose it is because we have reversible cabins and that is why it goes from one to another.

Kind regards (saludos Cordiales).

Pedro

I think, yes: MSTSBin did that the same way.
In case of doubled freight trains or trains with helpers, player can jump to every cab in sequence.
Same for passenger views.

Thanks Weter.

It is a somewhat strange result, hopefully one day it will be solved, because the logical thing to do would be to change to the extreme cabin of the whole train...

There is another strange thing:
When starting in timetable mode with a train, that is just changed its direction, the cab viewpoint appears at distant end of the control car.
I mean: some train have arrived to its last station, where it is to be terminated, forming another train, which will go then the opposite way.
If I choose to drive that second train, I have a cabview, looking towards the middle of the train (I.e. to the direction of former train's leading cab)
The co-ordinates of the cab view point look just copied from previous train's leading control car (I.e. attached to the coupled end of the control car, where is no actual cab, and oriented to the direction of travel of the former train)

I use to press Ctrl-e to sort it out.

About your opinion: I think, program doesn't know and doesn't care, whether you want to jump to some helper at the middle of the train (I.e. to check or to adjust something there, or to split the train at that location), or to the rear control cab, for reversing the train. This way, the variants with all available cabs are cycled.
