My first route ever was made back in 2016. It was pretty small and was based on the Claremont and Concord in western NH, which operated not only on rural branchline trackage but an extensive street running operation that served the city's many paper mills. This inspired me to make this route that I've been tinkering with on and off for a couple years (I took a 3-4 year break from the sim).

Seen are some pictures of what I've come up with for the city trackage: Like the real life railroad, it used to be an interurban route, now serving the light industry of the city of Branford. Though it is definitely fictional, all the crazy looking shoulder and street trackage is inspired by this very real company, which I will recommend to any railfan that they search it up.

The old 2016 version of this route is published over at RWA along with the GE 44 tonner repaint. I may publish this revision and expansion as well. I do have college life to attend to, after all.

The route is more than just city trackage, however. Continuing on the mainline brings us through rural countryside serving a few small industries, with the current progress stopping at the small valley town of Hinsdale and its weed-filled yard. Along the way is a covered bridge, of which the Claremont and Concord railroad in real life had multiple of.

I love it.
The Claremont & Concord is also represented on a Paul Rayes B&M route - but not the ex interurban trackage in the city.

Hey fellas,

Sorry for not following up: semester was absolute garbage and I never posted here.

But yeah, V1 of the route is done and I'm plugging away on version 2.

Below are some random screenshots from random places

Oh yes: version 1, along with repaints, is on RWA. Not to plug another forum, but that's where V1 currently resides.

Hello.
May I ask about purpose of wooden shers above some bridges?
The screenshots are nice. Especially like that one, with brick wall on it.
Reflection in water surface is awesome too.

Like this?

That's a covered bridge. They're pretty popular in New Hampshire (where I live and where the route takes place), the covering protects the wooden surfacing from the elements.

Railroad covered bridges used to be a huge thing, especially on the Claremont and Concord and the Lamoille Valley Railroad. Today, the last railroad covered bridge is on a small tourist railroad in NH.

The idea of a covered bridge is that it is a wooden through truss bridge with a covering to protect the structural wood from the weather. Probably helps with the snow too.

For the longer lifetime?
First I've seen that at Warlock Nintendo game about 1994, then -at Whitefish 9 by Rene Rump.
Thanks to you both for clarification. Happy new year.
