That didn't help.
(I've tried changing of properties for decompress.exe only)
I've registered *.ocx-file by using cmd and pasting there commands:

regsvr32 /u Comdlg32.ocx
regsvr32 /i Comdlg32.ocx

which were copied from site, recommended by You in above post.
After that, compress.exe works also, but both programs - after system's prompt.

If there were a way to override user controls, don't you think virus writers would use it? There are no overrides... just a global setting for the *confident*.

Interesting thing: two w10 laptops.
One runs TGATool2 without any prompt,
Second - asks every time, what is not handy, while opening many aces.
That's the reason of asking.

Interesting. Fresh install and it complains about missing a file: Run Time Error File Not Found "zlib.dll".

Granted. It's a common file so I found it elsewhere on my system, and made it available to the program and the error stopped showing up.

Hi All,
Today, I have uploaded v1.2 of FFEDIT_Sub.
This includes copies of the two files reported as missing with instructions for their addition into the user's system.

If such a missing file message is displayed, the program now closes down 'tidily' with appropriate messages being displayed.

The program should be available when it's approved.
