After applying V167 into my copy of the New Year Fork, I have this particular problem with this after trying to click on the Options... not sure if I screwed something up on my end or there was a bug I've encountered but it might be worth mentioning so who knows where said issue lies.

I ran the activity again and could not reproduce the crash.

For me, the 167.1 is failing silently to initialize. Doesn't even write anything to openrailslog.txt

I've added the error codes from windows and the appcrashview information from Nirsoft. Maybe this will help in troubleshooting it. Hopefully it doesn't make the entire thread too weird with a long post.

I would like to share few of my findings related to the issue. I added a few logging entries in the OR_MG code base during activity saving and restore operations. The exception happens due to empty wagfilepath in

 public static TrainCar Load(Simulator simulator, Train train, string wagFilePath, bool initialize = true)

. To find out what we save and what we load I added few logging entries in the code.

Whatis not clear is, how did an empty path : "" was needed during recall when it wasn't saved.

I am attaching two sets of logs. One obtained during save operation and one during saved activity restore operation. I agree that the logs have plenty of trainset issues, but this never poised any serious issues in the older MG versions.

For the patch you gave, do we have a fix already? Is there a commit which I can take a look please?

The Monogame related code intentionally coincides only partly with the code of the OR official testing version.

Users having not more than 4 GB RAM are suggested to run selecting general options checkbox for optional run at 32 bit on Win64.

When running on Win64, the player can select if he prefers running at 64 bit or 32 bit. In this second case RunActivity32.exe is run, and only a maximum of 4 GB of RAM can be accessed by OR. If the computer has only 4 GB RAM, selecting the option to run at 32 bit on Win64 is recommended.
Note for developers: Runactivity32.exe is not generated by building the pack, but manually doing a copy of Runactivity.exe, renaming it Runactivity32.exe, and using on the Developer Command Prompt command corflags with the modifier -32BITPREF+

When running on Win64, if you are running OR at 64 bit (option not checked) you must point ReShade to OpenRails64.exe; if you are running OR at 32 bit (option checked) you must point ReShade to OpenRails.exe.

It is suggested to unpack the .zip using 7zip, if other unpackers lead to problems.
