Would it be possible to allow an AI train to run off the end of the track when a path ends on a track end node and run onto the track when the path begins on a track end node?

Dont beleive thats possible whilst maintaining compatability with MSTS file formats.
The TDB file defines where trains can run , so to allow the train to run off the track, the tdb file would have to be modified to do this, without changing the world file.
Thats currently not possible.

Thanks for the comment. Hopefully in the future Open Rails can have it as an option so that long trains can be started and ended on routes that short stubs.

Extend the stubs on the route. (Hidden if necessary.)

Modifying the track would be a deal breaker then.
