I am working with a creation by Lukas Lussar, of the Gravely Hotel in
Harlowton, MT. This is a fairly complex item that refuses to place
using RE, and therefore cannot be display in MSTS either. So on a
hunch, I placed it in a test route using the new editor TSRE. No
problem, places correctly, manipulates okay, and is visible. Then
I brought it up in ORTS. Invisible or does not place, and relative
to it, I notice these lines in the error log. The object is "ghotel".
Warning: Expected 1 geometry node map elements; got 2 in sub-object 0 in distance level 0 in shape c:\1msts\routes\fptest\shapes\ghotel.s
Warning: Expected 1 hierarchy elements; got 0 in distance level 1 in shape c:\1msts\routes\fptest\shapes\ghotel.s
Warning: Expected 1 geometry node map elements; got 2 in sub-object 0 in distance level 1 in shape c:\1msts\routes\fptest\shapes\ghotel.s
Warning: System.IO.FileLoadException: c:\1msts\routes\fptest\shapes\ghotel.s ---> System.ArgumentOutOfRangeException: Resource size must be greater than zero.
Parameter name: elementCount
I would guess this is an error in how TSM produced the element, but
can anyone provide a explanation of what might be done to correct it?

Hi JH,
Have you tried running the shape through Paul's "Shape Fixer" ?

I never heard of "Shape Fixer" until now, but I got it and ran it.
No changes were made to the source file. Problem is odd in that the
item is visible in TSRE but not ORTS. It also does not have over
624 polys, but it does report two LOD's, one at 2000, one at 3000.
I've not seen that before. The first (2000) reports 624 polys in
all, while the 2nd (3000) reports zero polys.
