I'm able to add a geo map in TSRE, but the map data is modern. Is there any way to create a custom map from a scanned image? I'm trying to do a railroad from 1860 and having an old map to reference would help a lot. The ideal would be if I could align the old map with the current geography, then use the old map to place track and buildings. Thanks for any ideas.

My simplest solution to date: after loading a geo map, I
- click on the Save to disk button before closing the Tile window.
- Open Routes\MyRoute\terrain_maps and the map of the tile is there.
- Open it in PhotoShop, layer with a historical map.
Usually the projection has to be altered to match the modern map
- Temporarily set the historical layer to 50% transparency and use the Edit>Transform>Warp tools to get a close match.
- Reset the layer back to 100% opaque, flatten and save as PNG.
- Replace the old PNG in terrain_maps, reopen TSRE, show the map.
