Oh, that narrow-gauge little world!
Just Screenshots - some pictures during the ride

The route looks absolutely fantastic. And you do it justice with just as fine screen shots. You have the eye!
That inspection pit between the rails has me intrigued. I'd like to see how you did that.

QJ-6811:
That is some EXCELLENT route work! Excellent!
I love your rock work.
Am I looking at terrtex texturing or are some of the rocks 3D shapes that are placed in the terrain? Such as this example:

I hope the pictures below help a bit.
Sometimes you have to build a bit "creatively" with various parts. In a few words, lower the ground surface at this location, use an "A1t - bridge rail track element" and fill the rest with other parts. Such as various "wall objects" and others, as well as road and sidewalk objects.
Of course you can often adjust or change the .ACE a bit to your own taste. (I often like "weathering/pollution" better, if possible).

In this example they are indeed combinations of various 3D rock elements. (Shapes)
My experience in the meantime is that if you give 3D rocks and background (terrtex) the same "look" (the .ACE, etc.), as well as possibly also your "railway embankment elevation", this often greatly enhances your route.
With regard to 'terrtex texturings', you can often improve your route by making various combinations, also by 'sharpening' the textures (make one new one from 4...) and especially 'blending the landscape' without creating straight lines, and make various small (colour) changes/combinations, so that the background does not become 'monotonous'.
a little trick is also to increase the positions of the rock texturings of your terrtex, gives a kind of "3D effect".
maybe this is an example?

Indeed they do. Thanks for the simple explanation, Roger, I'm going to have to try this. :)
Also, I love that last image you posted in reply to Andre's question. :thumbup3: :thumbup3:

As a follow-up, some more pictures, the route continues to grow slowly.
Old electric locomotive, first German 15kv machine, still ready to drive:
Beautiful OR model of this French tank locomotive:
Well-known German hydraulic diesel locomotives, which are now unfortunately slowly disappearing:
Swiss modern flirt in its own environment:
Polish Flirt, employed here at a private local job:
Old Austrian electric locomotive, when there were no electronics and computer systems yet. (at least it works... :) ):
And some more pictures of the narrow gauge line. It has become an international variation.... :D :
