Hi Goku,

Deep into rebuilding Philadelphia Terminal in the PRR-East Route I notice that Dynamic Track renders differently in TSRE than it does in MSTS or Open Rails.
TSRE

I checked ACleanTrack1.ace & ACleanTrack2.ace files and both look normal.
As it looks normal in the Sim I'm not too troubled by this anomaly but hope it can be fixed as it makes it difficult to align the DT with the standard track as you can see in the pics, aligning the skinny DT with the big normal track.
I have to use the yellow TDB lines to line it up and that's a pain as I am constantly toggling the TDB (Z Key) on and off to adjust the track join point.
Any help appreciated.

One great high point; Adjusting terrain is a joy with TSRE. A HUGE improvement over the MS editor.http://www.elvastower.com/forums/public/style_emoticons/default/sign_thank_you.gif

regards,
vince.

What track profile does PRR-East use -- default or custom? Is it accessible to TSRE5?

Sure looks like a different profile to me in your first screenshot.

Works ok for me. Maybe you have alpha on texture where rails are?

Q2. Sure looks like a different profile to me in your first screenshot.

You're not listening or observing carefully! Those photos are the EXACT SAME TRACK SECTIONS AT THE SAME LOCATION. Obviously they appear differently in TSRE than they do in OR!

A1,
No. What do you mean 'accessible to'?
I'm simply laying track. When I lay default track it appears the same in TSRE editor and in OR.
Dynamic Track does not appear the same in TSRE & ORa s you can plainly see.
A2. Agreed it sure looks different.
So can you please explain how the same track section appears differently in TSRE & OR.http://www.elvastower.com/forums/public/style_emoticons/default/bigboss.gif

Hi Goku,
Here pictures better than me describing. (Pics removed to save space)
You have given me an idea. I will try a different set of ACleanTrack textures from another route.

Yes. Or if it is required for something else, draw white square where rails are.

Goku & All,

...... I must apologize for raising this issue on a TSRE forum. My diagnosis of the problem was flawed.

I knew the PRR-East had problems but never suspected the ACleanTrack1 & 2 files supplied with the route were faulty. Why would I? The route rendered perfectly everywhere except in TSRE. Ouch! . . .
I replaced the 2 files with ones I knew worked and the problem is fixed.
Thanks to all for your expert input helping me solve the problem.
