Here's something I'd wanted to see in the legacy RE but never got around to making...

When working on yards or mainlines, I'd usually pre-load a specific set of track pieces into the "Recently Used" list that I would be using to make ladder tracks, crossovers, etc.

Here's an example of the sections I load for a yard with Scalerail 6D pieces...

SR_1tSwt_w_m06dL.s
SR_1tSwt_w_m06dR.s
SR_1tEnd_w_06d.s
SR_1tStr_y_000_2m.s
SR_1tStr_w_005_5m.s
SR_1tStr_w_020m.s
SR_1tStr_w_025m.s

Could TSRE be modified to read in a structured list of sections so that they show up as an option in one of the dropdowns?

Ideally, a route builder could set up several of these quick pick lists for different uses, with a mix of items e.g. some might be all track sections, some could be signal parts & static opbjects

[Group = "Yard Scalerail"]
TrackObj SR_1tSwt_w_m06dL.s
TrackObj SR_1tSwt_w_m06dR.s
TrackObj SR_1tEnd_w_06d.s
TrackObj SR_1tStr_y_000_2m.s
TrackObj SR_1tStr_w_005_5m.s
TrackObj SR_1tStr_w_020m.s
TrackObj SR_1tStr_w_025m.s

[Group = "CNW Gantry Signals"]
Static CNW-ATS-Inductor.S
Signal "CNW Interval (gantry mount)"
Signal "CNW Absolute (gantry mount)"
Signal "CNW Absolute Gantry - 2 head"
Signal "CNW Absolute Gantry - 3 head"
Static 2tdetailsignalbridge.s
Static 3tdetailsignalbridge.s

If you won't consider this....

1) can you increase the size of "recently used shapes" or make it scrollable?

2) can you save the last set of recently used shapes in your new registration/settings structure?

Current version has no such thing as settings structure.

Then how are you saving things like the local game path, warnings, map URL & API key, etc...?

TSRE doesn't save this. It is defined by user in settings.txt

Someone else just asked in the embankment thread if those settings could be saved from session to session, and you said yes.

This type of info should be no different.

I said "NO" there.
NO - now.
YES - in the future.

OK, now we understand each other.

In the new/future versions when you are able to save the embankment settings, would you consider also saving the "recently used" pieces across user sessions?

And... would you consider making the "recently used" section larger and/or scrollable? I'd think most route builders would rather see a smaller "object selection" list and larger "recently used" list.
